Principal's Message

Welcome to Craigieburn South Primary School’s website. Whether you are already a member of our school community, a family wishing to enrol at Craigieburn South Primary, or browsing out of curiosity, I hope the information offered assists you to learn more about our wonderful school and the opportunities we provide for our students.

At Craigieburn South Primary School we are committed to ensuring that our students have an opportunity to participate in a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. Our students are able to experience variety and success through the diversity of our programs, the enthusiasm of our staff and the support of our wider school community. 

We believe in developing skills and attitudes that will ensure a love of learning for our students. All of the staff at the school are highly professional, dedicated and caring. They provide quality learning experiences for the students that address their individual needs within a successful and supportive learning environment.

We are extremely proud of our school and particularly of the children and families who make up our Craigieburn South Primary School community. We have a strong sense of partnership with our parents and the community, and have a commitment to realising the potential of all students. We provide a balanced education that addresses the academic, social, emotional and physical aspects of our students' lives.

The school offers specialist programs in the areas of The Arts, Digital Technology, Science, LOTE (Italian) and P.E. All students in grades 5 and 6 are involved in the Inter School Sports program.  A swimming program is offered to all students in Prep to Grade 4. We also support our students through many different intervention and extension programs, ie Speech, Literacy, Numeracy and EAL (English as an additional language).

Our school has outstanding facilities with interactive whiteboards in every classroom. We have a Middle Years Building with an extensive library and a Multi Purpose Centre with two classrooms, a full sized gymnasium, staff centre and amenities.

I am delighted to lead Craigieburn South Primary School and would like to extend an invitation to prospective families to visit the school so that they can receive more detailed information about the innovative, supportive and individualised programs that the school offers as well as experience firsthand the caring community atmosphere that exists at the school.
